The present Master-Thesis evaluates the geometrical accuracy of conventional and digital repro- duction techniques based on two marble objects from the Antikensammlung der Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin. The techniques of plaster cast, 3D scan and 3D printing, more precisely binder jetting and selective laser sintering, are compared on the example of the head of the enthroned goddess of Taranto, dated around 480/70 B.C. and a fragment from the large frieze of the Pergamon Altar, dated to the 2nd quarter of the 2nd century B.C. After an introduction to the respective topics, the different properties of the methods, their manufacturing processes and process-dependent characteristics will be described. Building on this, the technique of reproducing is critically discussed. The generatedreproductions will be directly compared with the originals using deviation analyses and photographic examinations. These techniques will be applied to four sections of the two objects reflecting different preservation states and surface properties of the marble.
